F Visa/Business Visa Extension in China

F visa

Chinese Business (F) Visa is issued to an alien who is invited to China for a visit, an investigation, a lecture, to do business, scientific-technological and culture exchanges, short-term advanced studies or internship for a period of no more than six months. Usually, the validity of a single entry, double entry or multiple entries (F) visa is 90 days or 180 days from the date of issue. This means the holder of the visa shall enter China no later than 90 days or 180 days from the date of issue, otherwise the visa is expired and is null and void. The duration of each stay of a (F) visa ranges from 30 to 120 days, which means the holder of the visa may stay in China for up to 30 to 120 days from the date of entry. The visa officer may extend the duration of Stay if the applicant needs and requests a stay in China for more than 30 days.
If you have entered into China with a business (F) visa, and desire to stay in China longer than the valid period specified on your current visa, or desire to re-enter into China for business purposes in the near future, you are required to apply for a new F visa. You may apply for a zero-entry, single-entry, double-entry business visa with a valid period of no longer than 6 months, or a multiple-entry business visa with a valid period of 6 months or one year.
To apply for a new F visa in China mainland (also called F visa extension, F visa renewal) to stay longer, please check F visa to F visa.
